Afternoon departure for an optional
city tour and sunset at the top of Sugar Loaf. You will take the two-stage
cable car up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain - Pão de Açúcar - in the
middle of the Guanabara Bay at 396 m (1.300 feet) above sea-level and enjoy
breathtaking panoramic views. From here you can see Rio's beaches to the
south, and beyond, like Sugar Loaf itself, half a dozen granite monolithic morros
rising straight from the water's edge in Guanabara Bay. Dinner at Rio's restaurant or Real Astoria.
21h00 - We are going to introduce
you to Lapa´s neighborhood, as an optional tour, the trendiest meeting point
at the moment, in the heart of the city center. Rio Scenarium, an old and
charming space, a mix of antique shop and show house, installed in this
three-floor house is a collection of furniture and antiques turned into a
work of art, serving as gastronomic and musical center. (closed on Sundays
and Mondays)
MAY 02 - Sunday - RIO DE JANEIRO
Day free. This is your last day in Rio. It may be time for shopping at afternoon at the malls and go to the beach, for the
beach lovers.
Afternoon : soccer
game at Maracanã (according to the schedule) or take an optional tour to Corcovado, where the statue
of Christ, the Redeemer, overlooks Rio and its famous beaches. Lunch at a
"Churrascaria" (typical brazilian grill restaurant).
Evening: optional farewell night
tour leave the hotel for a by night tour, including dinner and samba show at
Plataforma. Samba show with elaborately costumed mulatas, singers and
dancers, presenting Brazil's folklore and capturing the carnival rhythms.

Tour
From any place of the city, the visitor can
see the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer statue
in the mountain of Corcovado, located at 710 meters above the sea level and
inaugurated in 1931.
This tour begins in Cosme Velho's neighborhood from where the cog train
starts a trip through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the
world, up to the statue. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of
Rio will be seeing including the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches
of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon. Lunch at a "Churrascaria"

Tropical
island Tour
The city of Itacuruçá, located 1 ½ hour
away from Rio de Janeiro, in the district t of Mangaratiba, has among the
main activities the fishing, agriculture and tourism and has basically simple
houses of fishermen. The Saveiro, name given to this typical boat that looks
like a schooner, cruises the Sepetiba Bay, an area rich in natural beauty,
where it is normal to spot a flora and fauna as giant king-fisher, parrots,
turtle and sting-rays. A stop is made for a swim and then the "saveiro boat"
continues, another stop, where a delicious lunch self-service buffet will be
waiting for the visitors. There will be a time to explore the Island before
returning to Itacurussa city and Rio de Janeiro.

Tijuca Forest By Jeep
Enter the Tijuca Rain Forest on a open jeep
where is possible to see the contrast between the "Stone jungle and a
tropical forest in the middle of a big city". We will pass by the
"Cachoeira dos Macacos " (monkey's waterfall) At "Vista
Chinesa" (chinese view) where you can take pictures, we explain the
history of the reforestation process of that forest and the importance of the
" Mata Atlântica " (Atlantic Forrest ). We also "pass by
"the Mesa do Imperador (emperor's table), Cascatinha (Taunay's
waterfall), and Capela Mayrink (Mayrink chapel). Trekking of approximately 1
hour through an easy trail, where the botanical aspect is developed.
Passengers will have straight contact with the local nature ecosystem. During
this tour we will be able to see different types of tropical fruits, trees,
animals like monkeys, various kind of birds and butterflies. Lunch at "A Mineira"
restaurant - typical brazilian cuisine, or similar.

Loaf Tour
This tour begins with a city panoramic view through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form. Get to know
the traditional Cinelândia square with the historical buildings, the
Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts.
By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of
Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar
Loaf.
This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes
passengers to Urca Hill where one can have a beautiful view from the
Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill.
From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395
meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress
and some beaches of Niterói. Dinner at Real Astoria restaurant or similar.

Rio Scenarium
This lively samba club is housed in a beautiful old building that doubles as
a storage warehouse for props and antiques used by the city's film industry.
As a result, you will find yourself shaking your stuff to a backdrop of

three floors, revelers can chose to enjoy a meal from the restaurant, or just
strut their stuff on the dance floor among bohemian locals and tourists
alike. The club frequently hosts excellent live music, from samba to
forro.
